Ingredients:
- 20 Deseeded dates
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup + 1tbsp Oil
- 1 1/2 cup flour or wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- a pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- Optional 1/4 cup walnut or cashew chopped.

Method:
- Soak 20 dates without seeds in milk.
- Leave it aside for 4 hours.
- Grind the dates with milk after 4 hours .
- In a bowl add the brown sugar.
- Add the oil into it.
- Using a whisk beat well.
- Sieve the flour. To this add the flour and mix well.
- Add baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Now combine using a whisk.
- Add the date paste gently and mix well.
- Optional to add walnut or cashew chopped .
- Pour the batter into the lined baking tray.
- Preheat the oven to 175°C for 10 minutes.
- Lets bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
- check with a toothpick if the cake is done.
- Slice it only after the cake is cooled.
