- Let us soak channa in water overnight or for a 5 to 6 hours.
- 1 cup Channa/Chickpea
- Make a paste of the following ingredients, grind well.
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 onions medium
- 4 garlic
- 1inch ginger
- 3/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp gram masla
- 1 cardamom
- 3 cloves
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp kastori methi
- In a pressure cooker add the paste, channa, pinch of baking soda, oil and salt.
- 2 tbsp oil
- pinch of baking soda
- 2 tsp salt
- Close the cooker and cook for ten minutes and turn of the fire. Wait until the pressure cools down.
- Once it cools, open the pressure cooker add garam masala and kastori methi.
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp kastori methi
- Heat oil and add green chilies and few slits of ginger. Pour it into the curry and mix well.
- 2 green chillies
- 1or 2 thin slices of ginger
- Finally, garnish with coriander leave.
