Ingredients:
- 3 cups self -raising flour
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup soft margarine
- 4 eggs beaten
- 4 tbsp milk
- 1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
- icing sugar to dust if you need
Method:
- Place all of the ingredients except chocolate chips and icing sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat together until smooth.
- Beat in the milk and add chocolate chips.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and level on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven, 175C for 30-40 minutes until risen and springy to the touch.
- Leave to cool.
- Once cool, dust with icing sugar if you want. cut into squares to serve.
Variation: For an attractive finish, cut thin strips of paper and lay in a crisscross pattern on top of the cake. Dust with icing sugar , then remove the paper strips.
I'm no chocoholic like you..;) ...but this sure looks like a great bake. Loved the perfect squares you made out them..!
